Instructions

  1. First quarter the potatoes (peel if you like) and boil them in salted water for 20 minutes.
  2. The time can be used well to check with your fingers on the inside of the fillets whether they still contain bones and then remove them completely with cooking tweezers. After all, the children shouldn`t have to find bones in their food and fillets are rarely really bone-free. Then cut the fillets into pieces about 3 x 3 cm and lightly salt. Cut half the onion into very fine cubes.
  3. Heat a large pan and let the butter melt until it has turned a light color. Now reduce the temperature by about half. Put the fillet pieces and the onions in the butter and let cook briefly. Add the cream, season with rosemary, salt and pepper.
  4. Drain the potatoes and add them to the pan. Gently swirl once and then serve with the finely chopped basil leaves.
  5. A cucumber or leaf salad goes well with it.
  6. Tip: A little lime zest is optional. I have also varied it with fresh garlic in the brew and a little tarragon.
  7. My kids really like the fish pan. Cod has a fairly firm meat and doesn`t taste too fishy, so it`s a great entry-level fish. You can improve yourself. Now my children eat all kinds of fish, mussels and shellfish with gusto.
