Delicate, aromatic, literally melting in your mouth pie with a crispy cinnamon crust won me over from the first bite. I immediately wanted to treat myself to the second. I invite you to my tea party!
Combine flour, cinnamon (1 teaspoon) and baking powder in a bowl, mix with a whisk.
In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar with a mixer until fluffy. Add eggs one ata time while whisking.
Pour in milk, whisk. Add dry mixture, stir with a spatula until smooth.
Grease a baking dish (diameter – 18 cm) with oil, sprinkle with flour. Lay out the dough and smooth with a spatula.
Peel the apples, remove the seed capsule, cut into medium-sized slices. Place the apple slices around the outer circle.
Combine sugar (1 tablespoon) and cinnamon (1 teaspoon), sprinkle the mixture over the top of the pie. Bake in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes at 180 degrees. Check the readiness of the cake with a toothpick; it should come out dry from the middle of the cake. Cool the pie in a dish on a wire rack, then remove it and transfer the pie to a platter.
