Put the minced meat in a bowl and add the egg. Soak the slice of toast in warm water, squeeze out lightly and add to the mince. Add the diced onion. Add the dried herbs and season everything vigorously. Now mix with a fork (becomes particularly loose) until everything becomes a uniform mass and the bread is well distributed and not in lumps in the mass. Then shape 4 flat meatballs out of them and fry them on both sides in a coated pan without fat until the meatballs are well-rounded and nicely brown.
As a variation, you can add a diced bell pepper or feta in the middle.
