First, coat two slices of toast with peanut butter (preferably as much as you want, but not too much, otherwise it will run too much in the pan) and place an unpainted slice of toast on top. Then whisk the egg with a dash of milk and turn the peanut butter toasts in it. Then fry them in butter on both sides until they have a nice golden brown color. Place on a plate and pour as much maple syrup over it as you want.
You can of course also use other syrups or jams, but maple syrup still tastes best.
In the USA, like the egg, it is part of breakfast. However, you can eat it at any time of the day or night, as it is really delicious and also very filling.
