Instructions

  1. Place the thawed or fresh prawns in a small pan and set the stove on a medium to high setting. With a good coating, no oil is required for frying in this case. If you want to be on the safe side or need it for the taste, you can of course heat some oil in the pan beforehand.
  2. While the prawns are slowly getting hot, wash the bell peppers (preferably red, orange or yellow bell peppers because of their sweet taste) and the small tomatoes. Look after the prawns and turn them over if necessary. Dice the peppers and cocktail tomatoes and prepare about 30 g of cream cheese.
  3. Turn the prawns when they turn white-pink so that neither side remains translucent. If they are slightly shriveled and pink, empty the pan over a sieve and remove the water that they have given off.
  4. Then put the prawns back into the pan again - together with the diced paprika, switch to medium heat and season with salt and pepper, stir well. After about 2 minutes add the tomato pieces, mix everything well again and then stir in the cream cheese. Let everything get hot together, season if necessary and serve hot immediately.
  5. Suitable as a small meal or as a sauce with pasta or rice. Fresh bread is also delicious. B. Ciabatta with it, especially if you dip it in the sauce.
  6. The calories refer to the preparation with cream cheese, with about 12% fat, with 5% (or less) the calories are less than 200 per serving. The recipe can be expanded as required with other herbs (e.g. chives, parsley) and spices (paprika, chilli, curry) as well as other vegetables or even fruit (e.g. mandarin or mango cubes).
