Instructions

  1. Mix the softened butter with the eggs, sugar, baking powder, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt until frothy. Gradually stir in the flour and milk. Add the water to loosen the batter. The dough has to be a bit thick, but it must not fall from the spoon, being tough. Finally add the lemon flavor to the batter and bake the waffles.
  2. Side dishes (as desired): Bring the cherries to the boil with 3/4 of the liquid and thicken with a little flour. Beat the cream with the cream stabilizer and 1/2 packet of vanilla sugar until stiff.
  3. It is best to serve the waffles warm with powdered sugar, whipped cream and the hot cherries.
