A very unusual combination of products and an interesting way of making familiar and beloved sandwiches. Such sandwiches are fried in a pan, crushed by a load. Apples and cheese are used for the filling. Serve with red cabbage salad.
In a small saucepan, combine lime juice with orange juice and bring to a boil. Boil until the liquid has boiled down 1/2, about 5 minutes. Add 1 tbsp honey, stir until completely dissolved, about 30 seconds. Pour the resulting liquid into a deep bowl, add 1/4 cup oil. Add cabbage and cilantro. Season with pepper and salt, mix well.
In a small bowl, combine the mustard and the rest of the honey. Brush 4 slices of bread with this mixture on one side each. Sprinkle each slice with 1/2 of the cheese, put the apples on top, and pour the rest of the cheese over the apples. Cover with a second slice of bread.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Lubricate with 2 tbsp oils. Put 2 sandwiches on a hot frying pan, put a load on top (for example, a pan with water). Fry until the cheese is melted, about 4-6 minutes on both sides. Do the same with the remaining two sandwiches.
