Clean the green asparagus. You can break off the lower ends, where the asparagus breaks, it is no longer woody. Or you can peel the lower third a little and just cut off the ends very tightly. The latter wastes less of the beautiful asparagus.
Heat the olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Place the asparagus spears in the oil. Don`t worry if not all of the bars are touching the bottom of the pan, as it will become softer over time and all of the bars will be fried all around.
Turn occasionally, but not too often, so that the asparagus not only cooks but also gets a nice brown color. This takes about 15-20 minutes.
Drizzle the asparagus with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Swing again in the pan and arrange on a plate. Sprinkle with the parmesan cheese.
