Cut the peppers into strips approx. 2 cm wide and 4 cm long. Fry in olive oil until al dente, remove and set aside. Finely chop the garlic and pour over the peppers. Peel the potatoes and cut into slices with the slicer (setting 3). Fry the slices in the frying fat until they are cooked through. Turn more often. Finally, add the pepper pieces again and heat up. Season with salt and pepper.

I ate this recipe in a pizza restaurant in Calabria. It was served with fried oyster mushrooms or cima di rapa (a kind of spinach, only coarser and tart).
