Instructions

  1. Cut the onion into small cubes. Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces. Important: do not cook potatoes beforehand !!
  2. Heat the oil in a pan.
  3. Sauté the onions and after about 2 minutes add the bacon cubes. Now regulate the temperature on the stove down to medium level. Then add the potatoes as well as the spices and cook, turning over and over, until the desired browning.
  4. When this is done, place the potatoes on a paper towel to drain most of the oil.
  5. Then serve - ideally with fried herring - really delicious!
