First, grease and flour the fruit cake pan. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C top / bottom heat.
Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla for 5 minutes until creamy white. Briefly stir in oil and water on a low setting. Mix the starch, flour and baking powder and sift into it. Stir in briefly as well.
Then pour the dough into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes. Check with the stick sample. Let the base cool down a little after baking and then turn it out.
Cook the vanilla pudding with the sugar according to the package instructions and cover with cling film. To prevent the pudding from forming a skin, press the foil directly onto the pudding and let it cool down.
Wash the strawberries, remove the stalk and cut in half or smaller, depending on your taste.
Stir the cooled pudding again and distribute it on the cake base, which has also cooled down. Then top with strawberries.
If you like, you can of course strengthen your topping with cake icing in the classic way. Since I don`t like to eat it that much, I leave it out. It also tastes so delicious.
