Put a finger`s breadth of olive oil in a cazuela (Spanish clay bowl), 17 cm in diameter. Clean the garlic cloves, cut lengthways into pieces and add to the oil with the chilli pepper. Heat on a hotplate until the garlic begins to simmer and is light brown. Add the prawns and fry for about 2 - 3 minutes, turn and fry for another 2 - 3 minutes. The prawns are ready when they are pink. Don`t fry them too long to prevent them from drying out.
Sprinkle with a little salt and serve immediately in the cazuela.
Baguette, which you dip into the olive oil, tastes good with it.
