Drain the artichoke bottoms and quarter them. Pour the lemon juice over the artichokes and let them steep until you have finished the chopping work.
Heat the oil in the saucepan to medium heat, add the onion and garlic and fry for about 5 minutes. Then add the artichoke bases with the lemon juice and fry for another 5 minutes.
Finally add the frozen peas and dill and season with salt and pepper. Simmer until the peas are cooked through. If you like, add a good dash of oil and a tablespoon of water while it is boiling.
