Instructions

  1. For the hamburger buns, weigh the flour in a mixing bowl and then crumble in the yeast, mix everything briefly. Warm the milk (in a saucepan or in the microwave), then dissolve the sugar, salt and butter in it and then add the lukewarm mixture to the flour and yeast. Knead everything vigorously with a mixer and dough hook.
  2. Then cover the dough with cling film and put it in a warm place for about 1 hour (I cover the mixing bowl with cling film, secure it with a rubber band and put it in the sink, which is filled with warm water, and then cover it with tea towels ).
  3. When the dough has risen, knead everything again, then quarter the portion (for 4 portions). Roll the four pieces of dough into balls and flatten them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper (so that each bun has enough space on the sheet when it rises in the oven).
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 175 ° C. If you want, you can spread a mixture of water and sesame seeds on the rolls before baking.
  5. Season the minced beef in a bowl with the marjoram and salt and pepper, knead everything together well. Then divide the meat into 4 portions. Shape each portion of meat into a meatball (e.g. first shape it into a ball and then press between 2 breakfast plates to the desired thickness). Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan for each meatball and then fry the piece of meat.
  6. Mix the ketchup and mustard in a bowl. Cut the hamburger buns open and coat the base with 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise each. Then place 1 lettuce leaf and 1 slice of tomato on each, place 1 meatball on each and brush each of them with 1 tablespoon of the ketchup-mustard mixture and then spread onion rings and gherkin slices on top. Finally, put on the top of the hamburger bun.
