Heat the water. Peel the ginger root, cut into very thin slices and add to the simmering water. Add 5 tablespoons of non-flavored fruit tea. In my tea mixture were: hibiscus blossoms, aronia berries, sour cherries, elderberries, currants and blueberries. Simmer everything gently for about 10 minutes or just let it simmer. The longer the tea steeps, the spicier it becomes from the ginger.
Then strain and when the tea has cooled down a bit, add the currant juice. But you can also add other juice, depending on your taste. Let cool down. In the summer, when it`s really hot, I also give a few ice cubes before serving. Here I use currant juice instead of normal ones.
A refreshing drink that is also healthy thanks to the ginger. I don`t add any sugar myself, but if you like it sweeter, you can stir in something to make it sweeter.
