Peel the ginger with the peeler and then slice it directly into the pot with the peeler until the ginger becomes fibrous. Then just cut slices with the knife and put them in the pot.
Thinly cut both ends of a lemon or lime and cut them in half. If you like it beautiful, simply prick the zigzag pattern with the kitchen knife towards the middle. And then also put in the pot.
Fill up with hot water - I take it as it comes from the tap, that`s enough - and sweeten as desired. I take liquid stevia and 2 pipettes of it, tightly measured. But that`s really cute.
And then let it go. I just leave everything in the jug and when it`s empty, or almost empty, I just top it up with water. It works great and tastes delicious too. I just stab the lemon / lime a few times with the knife for more flavor. The second infusion is tart, due to more bitter substances from the citrus fruit.
