Instructions

  1. Wash the meat, pat dry and pepper. Fry all over in 3 tablespoons of oil in a roasting pan, add onion and garlic slices. After frying, add salt, deglaze with 125 ml water, fry in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 70 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, stir together the soy sauce, pressed garlic, honey, cumin and tomato paste as well as the remaining oil. Spread a third of this paste onto the leg after about 30 minutes, another third after 10 minutes and the rest 10 minutes later.
  3. Remove turkey leg at the end of the roasting time and cover and let rest for 5 minutes. Pour the meat stock through a sieve and season to taste, pour over the sliced meat.
  4. With wild (Indian) rice, mixed with Patna rice, prepared according to the instructions on the package or mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, e.g. broccoli or corn.
