Instructions

  1. Put the flour in a mixing bowl and add the salt. Make a well in the flour and crumble the yeast into it. Sprinkle with sugar, then pour the water and oil on the yeast. Knead everything well for at least 7 minutes, then place a towel on the bowl and place a plate over it. Leave the bowl in the kitchen overnight, so don`t put it in the refrigerator.
  2. The next morning, preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air - if you have, use steam setting (I always use high steam setting).
  3. Place the dough, which has risen well in the meantime, on a floured surface. Do not knead anymore, just press into a circle approx. 2 cm thick. Now divide like a cake and cut into 8 pieces. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the oven immediately. Bake for about 30 minutes, then place on a rack to cool down.
  4. The toasties are delicious and quick to make, e.g., for Sunday breakfast. Simply prepare the dough in the evening and bake it in the morning.
