Cut the goulash into bite-sized pieces, cut off the fat if necessary. Fry the goulash with margarine. Chop the onions into large pieces and add. When the onions are brown, pepper and salt the goulash. Now gradually add boiling water until it has almost boiled away. Then add as much water as you want sauce. Let simmer gently for about 2 hours.
Always make sure that water is refilled!
Boiled potatoes, spaetzle, noodles or a crunchy salad can be served as a side dish.
