Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Mix the egg yolks with the quark, sugar and lemon zest. Mix the baking powder with the semolina and stir in as well. Fold in the egg whites.
Put the dough in a greased baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and top with flakes of butter. Bake in the preheated oven with top / bottom heat at 175 ° C for approx. 30 minutes until the casserole is golden yellow.
Attention: the dough rises when baking! Please choose the size of the baking dish accordingly.
We always eat the casserole 1 1/2 times the amount with two adults and three children as a sweet lunch with raspberry dessert sauce or jam. The casserole can be made entirely from organic ingredients.
