First wash and peel the carrots. Cook in a saucepan with water and the broth firm to the bite (not too soft!) And allow to cool. Then coat the ham slices (if too wide, just cut them in half) with the cream cheese. How high the fat content of the cheese should be is up to you. Now, depending on the size, wrap 1-2 slices of ham diagonally around each carrot. Then place on the grill until the ham is crispy.
The mild sweetness of the carrots goes very well with the smoky taste of the ham.
