Put the water with salt in a saucepan and let it boil first. Then add the soup spices and semolina. Bring to the boil until the soup thickens. Whisk the egg in a cup and add to the soup, stirring constantly. Bring to the boil again, stirring, until it is ready to serve after about 10 minutes of cooking.
Serve the soup and if you like, you can add Maggi to taste.
