When my grandmother hosted lunch with friends once a month, followed by a coffee party, the cooking was always busy. My grandfather`s job was to peel potatoes and contribute the cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was so popular that one of the older women even drank the dressing out of the bowl. Wash the cucumbers and peel or slice them as you like. Mix the remaining ingredients well in a coffee cup and add to the cucumber slices. Sprinkle some additional salt on top of the salad, wait 15 minutes, stir and add a little more salt on top. After 30 - 60 minutes the cucumber slices have lost enough water and are nice and crisp.
