Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into evenly thin slices. Heat the oil in a large pan and switch back to medium heat. Put the potatoes in the pan and put the lid on. It is very important to first cook covered, as the water in the potatoes evaporates, and thus the potatoes cooks. It is also important not to set the temperature too high. After about 15 minutes, remove the lid, turn the potatoes and cover again for about 5 minutes.
  2. When the potatoes are done, add the onions and continue frying uncovered at a higher temperature. If necessary, add a little more oil. Now it can also be seasoned. Turn several times and serve when the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
  3. I like this type of fried potato because I save myself the cooking and the potatoes don`t fall apart as easily as boiled fried potatoes.
