Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and roughly grate the potatoes. Place in a large fine sieve and squeeze gently so that the potato liquid comes out. Peel the onion and finely grate it under the potatoes. Add eggs, salt, pepper and a little nutmeg and mix everything together. If the dough is still too runny, add a little flour.
  2. Heat the vegetable fat in the pan. Place small portions of dough in the hot fat, flatten it a little and bake golden brown, crispy potato pancakes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 °. Spread the potato pancakes on the baking sheet and top with salami. Place the cheese slices on top, put the tray in the oven and bake the potato pancakes until the cheese has melted.
