Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into strips. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of oil with the thyme and paprika powder. Mix with the meat and marinate for about 30 minutes. Peel and roughly dice the vegetable onion.
  2. Fry the meat in a heated pan for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Add half the amount of onion and fry briefly. Let cool down. Cut the pointed cabbage into fine strips. Peel and dice the cucumber if necessary. Wash and slice tomatoes.
  3. Mix together yogurt, 2 tablespoon oil, spice mixture for tzatziki and lemon zest. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer the vegetables, onions, gyros and tzatziki sauce in 4 serving bowls. Serve garnished with peppers, olives and thyme.
  5. Tip: just increase the amount and you have a good party salad.
