Instructions

  1. Make a marinade from the gyros spice and olive oil. Brush the roulades with it and let rest for half an hour.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Wash the peppers and also cut into small cubes. Cut the feta cheese into cubes.
  3. Heat some olive oil in a pan and steam the onion cubes with the paprika cubes until translucent. Cover the roulades with the onion and paprika vegetables and the feta cubes and then roll up and fix with roulade needles or roulade clamps.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan and fry the roulades vigorously. Deglaze metaxa with a good shot. Add the cream and processed cheese, if you like, you can also add a dash of vegetable stock. Depending on the size of the roulades, simmer on a low heat for 30 - 45 minutes.
  5. The Greek Kritharaki rice noodles and a salad go very well with it.
