Work the flour, milk and yeast into a thin dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
Peel the potatoes, grate them finely and drain them on a sieve. Cut the beef into small cubes. Also grate the onion and stir into the yeast dough together with the eggs, bacon and potatoes. Season everything with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Bake the batter in the waffle iron. The mixture makes about 16 waffles. Applesauce tastes good with it.
