Instructions

  1. Sear the gyros in a pan. Then put the meat in a baking dish without the stock. Add the cream and processed cheese to the broth in the pan and bring to the boil until the processed cheese has melted. Then season the whole thing with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and plenty of Metaxa and thicken the sauce well. It doesn`t matter if the sauce becomes very thick, because the meat also leaves a little stock and sometimes I give a dash of Metaxa over the meat before I pour the sauce over it. But then pour the sauce over the meat and cover with plenty of Gouda and / or mozzarella. Baked in the oven at 150-180 ° C until the cheese has melted and has the desired color.
