Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, salt and yeast for the dough. Add 60 ml of lukewarm water and 2 tablespoons of oil and use the dough hook of the hand mixer to form a smooth dough. Let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  2. Finely chop the garlic. Finely dice the onion. Heat the rest of the oil in a pan. Fry the gyros, onion and garlic for 5-6 minutes while turning. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Take out of the pan and let cool down a bit.
  3. Cut the spring onions into rings. Cut tomatoes into wedges. Knead the dough again. Roll out into a rectangle (25 x 30 cm) on a floured surface and cut in half lengthways. Place the strips side by side on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  4. Brush the dough with mustard. Spread the gyros, spring onions and tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven (electric stove: 200 ° C, gas stove: level 3) for about 18 minutes. Pluck thyme.
  5. Garnish the pizza with thyme and possibly with basil.
