Instructions

  1. Wash the rosemary, shake dry and roughly chop. Peel the red onions and cut into thin wedges. Peel the garlic and cut into small pieces. Put the cheese, herbs, garlic, olive oil and onions in a bowl. Cover with a cloth and let it steep for about 2 hours, or even better overnight.
  2. Pat the roasted pepper pieces dry. Clean and wash the rocket and shake dry. Halve the rolls. Brush the cut surfaces with a little herb butter.
  3. Heat a coated pan. Take the cheese out of the marinade and fry it on both sides in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes. Just before the end of the cooking time, add the marinade with onions and herbs to the pan and fry briefly. Take the halloumi out of the pan.
  4. First cover the lower halves of the rolls with paprika, then top with the cheese. Spread the rocket and onion wedges on top and cover with the bread roll lid.
  5. French fries also taste good.
