Instructions

  1. Put 500 g of the flour in a mixing bowl and make a well. Add the sugar, the salt, the yeast, the egg, the poppy seeds and the oat flakes to this.
  2. In the meantime, heat the milk lukewarm and add it as well and knead everything well with your hands - also mix in the butter and the remaining flour. Now cover everything for 60 minutes in a warm place.
  3. After the hour, shape 2 balls out of the dough and shape a baguette from each to the length of the baking sheet. Then brush this evenly with milk.
  4. Now cover up for another 15 minutes - then cut about 8-10 slices about 1 cm deep into the loaves of bread and brush again with milk.
  5. Then bake for 25 minutes at 220 degrees (fan oven 200 degrees).
