Mix the oatmeal, flour and baking powder well. In a second bowl, stir the margarine until frothy and add sugar, egg and flavoring. Now stir in the flour and oatmeal mixture.
On a baking sheet lined with baking paper, use 2 small spoons to place piles of about a spoon each. Not too close as they diverge. Bake for about 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
