Instructions

  1. For this you need different spreads (see below) and a round approx. 1000 g bread (black, white, wholemeal - which you like).
  2. Egg spread:
  3. Boil 4 eggs firmly, chop. Chop 1 onion, mix 50 g soft butter, 2 tablespoons sour cream, season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cheese spread:
  5. 100 g of grated cheese (Emmentaler, Tilsiter, etc.), 200 g of grainy cream cheese, 5-6 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 clove of garlic, chop, mix everything, salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Salmon spread:
  7. Cut 200 g smoked salmon into small pieces, boil 2 tablespoons mayo, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1 egg firmly, chop, cut 2 leek sticks, mix everything.
  8. Sausage spread:
  9. Cut 200 g of boiled ham into small pieces or chop with a chopper, 30 g of soft butter, 2 tablespoons of mustard, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise (optionally sour cream), mix everything together, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Completely cut off the upper and lower crust from the bread and divide horizontally approx. 1-1.5 cm thick. Alternate the spreads about 1-1.5 cm thick. Place the pieces on top of each other, wrap in cling film, place on a cutting board, press on a little so that the pieces stick together, put in the refrigerator for a few hours. Then cut off the edges with a sharp knife, smear the remaining spread on the sides and from above, sprinkle finely grated cheese, chopped parsley and dill, and finely chopped leek.
  11. This cake is cut and served like a normal cake.
