Roughly chop the chocolate, place in a tall mixing vessel and melt (works well in the microwave, only 10 - 20 seconds at a time, then stir). Measure out the brandy and gradually add to the chocolate, stirring constantly with the whisk. Measure the cream, mix with the powdered sugar and add to the chocolate mixture while stirring.
Fill into bottles and leave to steep overnight in a cool, dark place to allow all of the flavors to blend.
If you like it a little bit bitter, you can leave out the sugar or use some dark chocolate, without cream the liqueur becomes too thick. You can also flavor with amaretto, vanilla sugar, cinnamon or even chili powder
The amount of ingredients is enough for a 300 ml bottle and 1 or 2 sample sips.
