Instructions

  1. Knead all ingredients to a smooth dough (food processor, 7-10 min). Cover and let the dough rest in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the shape of the BBA or a loaf pan with 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds. Knead the dough again briefly and pour it into the prepared form. Smooth out the dough and sprinkle with the remaining hemp seeds. Cover and leave to rest in a warm place for 1.5 - 3 hours.
  3. When baking in the BBA, bake the bread for 1 hour using the Bake only program.
  4. When baking in the oven, bake the bread at 200 ° C for about 50 - 60 minutes.
  5. Since I always bake bread in the BBA, the information for baking in the oven is only a guide. Since every oven bakes differently, it is better to take a look at the bread more than once too little.
  6. After baking, turn the bread out of the pan and let it cool on a wire rack.
  7. It is best to let the bread rest in the bread box for 1 day before cutting it, then it tastes better.
  8. The quantities are sufficient for a bread of around 1000 g.
  9. * I always bake the bread without the addition of yeast, because I have a very strong rye sourdough.
  10. Here are a few more notes on edible hemp:
  11. Edible hemp is an ancient crop that originally comes from Central Asia. Until World War II, hemp was also grown and used a lot in Germany. After the war, hemp was somehow forgotten.
  12. Today, edible hemp is in a relatively difficult position, as it is always immediately lumped together with drugs containing THC such as marijuana or hashish, which is not right. The edible hemp grown today is THC-free or very low in THC.
  13. Hemp is also extremely healthy. It contains many unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins such as vitamins A, C, D, E, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12), minerals and amino acids / proteins. Hemp can also be eaten raw.
