Clean the potatoes well under the water with your hand and kitchen paper or a brush. Then cut the potatoes in half lengthways and place them on a baking sheet with the cut surface facing up. Now sprinkle the cut surfaces evenly thin and completely, i.e. up to the edge, with salt. A simple table salt shaker is very suitable for this. For a spicy aroma, optionally place a sprig of fresh rosemary on the baking sheet and bake the potatoes at 200 ° C for 35 - 50 minutes. Floury potatoes require less baking time than waxy potatoes.
The ready-baked potatoes can be brushed with a little oil or liquid butter and then sprinkled with freshly ground pepper or herbs.
