Instructions

  1. Beat the turkey schnitzel and season with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Cut the schnitzel so that they are slightly smaller than half a sheet of puff pastry.
  2. Fry in hot fat on both sides until cooked through and remove from the pan.
  3. Dice the onion and tomato, clean and slice the mushrooms. Fry the onion cubes briefly in the frying fat, then add the mushrooms and ham cubes and fry with them. When everything is a little colored, add the pressed garlic clove. When the garlic aroma has developed, mix in the tomato cubes, season everything with basil, oregano, salt and pepper and remove from the heat.
  4. Now spread the puff pastry sheets apart and distribute the schnitzel on them so that you can close the sheets at the end. Spread the ham and vegetables mixture over the schnitzel and cover with a slice of cheese. Whisk the egg yolks, brush the edge of the puff pastry with it, close and press the sides firmly. Brush the puff pastry pockets from above with the remaining egg yolk.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 30 minutes until the pockets are golden brown. Serve hot.
  6. A fresh, mixed salad is served with it.
