  1. First preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Put the cereal flakes with the desired nuts, kernels, coconut chips, flax seeds, salt, cinnamon and the pulp of a vanilla pod in a bowl and mix all the ingredients well.
  3. For those of you who like to experiment: you can also add a little cardamom, rosemary or thyme.
  4. Add honey, agave syrup or maple syrup and oil and mix everything well until there are no more lumps and the oil and sweetness are evenly distributed.
  5. Place baking paper on a baking tray and distribute the mixture on top. Now it has to be baked for about 10-15 minutes until the desired degree of browning is achieved. Watch it carefully because it must not burn. It only becomes solid when it has cooled down.
  6. Now you can add dried fruit as you like. Dried apricots have proven themselves here.
  7. When the finished granola has cooled completely, it can be filled into pretty storage jars. It stays there for 2 - 3 weeks. In glasses and nicely labeled, you can also give it away or take it with you on the go.
  8. Granola tastes best with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. There are no limits to the imagination when it comes to selecting the fruits. Add what you like or what is in the fridge in the morning. Of course, granola can also be eaten simply with milk.
