Peel the ginger and cut into thin slices. Bring the water, ginger and sugar to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for five minutes. Take the pot off the stove, insert the tea bag and let it steep according to the instructions on the packet. In my case it was six minutes.
Take out the ginger and the tea bag and pour the tea into a carafe, if necessary let cool down a little. Add the ice cubes.
The tea tastes lukewarm very good, but also when completely cooled.
