Instructions

  1. My dishes are low in fat, all ingredients can be expanded as required!
  2. Cut the beef into the required cubes, quarter the onions, finely chop or squeeze the knoflehe, but a good cook will not do it.
  3. Cut 2 carrots into nice, even cubes, as well as lean bacon or ham.
  4. Fry the onion with the oil and take it out again.
  5. Add the meat and fry vigorously on all sides for about 10 minutes.
  6. Dust the meat with the flour and a pinch of ground caraway seeds and stir, it browns and binds wonderfully and brings a good roasting taste.
  7. Add the Knofi, the bacon, the carrots and the onion and the spices (orange zest or orange baking with thyme and bay leaf), stir fry and then add the 250 ml liquid of your choice.
  8. Cover and simmer, it takes about 2.5 hours.
  9. If there is a lack of fluids, add the same as vegetable broth or wine!
  10. If necessary, bind with a little sour cream and potato starch if the sauce is too runny!
  11. Season to taste with salt, pepper, possibly sugar / honey and nutmeg!
  12. A special whistle:

  14. Tastes good with dumplings, dumplings, pasta or other side dishes!
