Salt and pepper the minced meat moderately. Grate the onions and mix well with the mince. Pour the meat mixture into a large baking dish and smooth it out. Using a moistened knife, cut the minced meat into strips; a small space is sufficient. Place the tomatoes on the mince and put the whole thing in the cold oven on medium heat, set to 220 degrees C ° and take out after approx. 40 minutes.
