Instructions

  1. Streusel:
  2. Cut 100 g marzipan into small cubes and refrigerate.
  3. Use the dough hook of the hand mixer to make coarse crumbles from the remaining ingredients and put them in the fridge too.
  4. Batter:
  5. Grate the marzipan and stir in the icing sugar, butter and vanilla until frothy. Then add the 5 eggs and the salt and beat everything with the hand mixer for at least 4 minutes until creamy. Then alternately stir in the flour-baking powder mixture and the milk.
  6. Spread the dough on a baking sheet (preferably with a baking frame and baking paper or baking foil). Spread the cherries on the dough and press in a little. Sprinkle with the crumble and marzipan cubes and bake in the oven for approx. 45 minutes at 190 ° C top / bottom heat.
  7. When baking, make sure that the marzipan cubes do not get too brown, so put them in the lower third of the oven and maybe cover with baking paper at the end.
  8. Another possibility is to distribute the cubes on the cake 10 minutes before the end.
