Spread the dough on the prepared tray and place the apple pieces evenly on top. Bake on the middle rack for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, melt the butter, add sugar and honey and bring to the boil until foaming. Then stir in the almonds.
Immediately after baking, spread this mixture on the cake, especially on the apples, and put the cake in the oven for another 5 minutes.
