Instructions

  1. Cut open the vanilla pod, scrape out the pulp and stir with butter, salt and sugar until frothy. Add the eggs one by one. Whip the whole thing up frothy and add the rum. Sieve the flour, starch and baking powder and stir into the egg mixture. Then stir in the cream and divide the dough into 2 equal parts.
  2. Melt the chocolate and stir it into a portion of the batter.
  3. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C fan oven.
  4. Grease a bundt pan (about 1.5 liters) and dust with a little flour. Pour half of the light dough into the mold, pour the dark dough on top and cover with the remaining light dough. Pull the dough through in a spiral with a fork. The desired marbling is created.
  5. Bake the cake in the oven on the second rack from the bottom for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, then take it out and let it cool down a little.
