Sweat the onion and garlic in a saucepan over medium heat until translucent, and sweat the tomato paste a little. Then add apple juice, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, sugar beet syrup, paprika powder, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for 30 minutes without the lid, stirring occasionally.
Either enjoy with poultry, pork or beef or spread on grilled meat during the last 10 minutes.
