Instructions

  1. Just boil the potatoes, peel them and cut them into large pieces. Clean the green beans and cook them almost cooked in salted boiling water. Drain and collect the water. Cut the smoked pork loin into large cubes.
  2. Sear the meat on all sides in a pan over medium heat and a little fat. Sprinkle the flour on top and fry it. Deglaze with the milk. Mix well and bring to the boil. Add the cream and stir well. Add enough bean water to make a nice, creamy sauce. Season well with salt, pepper and savory.
  3. Fill an open baking dish with potatoes and beans, pour the Kassel sauce over it. Sprinkle with the cheese and put in the oven. Baked at 175 degrees for 15 minutes.
  4. Tip: Of course, you can also add any other seasonal vegetables: broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leeks or mushrooms. You can also add a small dash of bitter white wine to the sauce.
  5. The dish is ideal as a guest meal. They prepare everything and only put it in the oven when the guests arrive.
