Kefir Jelly with Apples and Cinnamon Instructions

  1. Prepare food. Wash and dry the apple. Apples for making dessert are best chosen from sweet varieties. If the apple has a pronounced sourness in taste, add a little powdered sugar during the stewing process.
  2. Pour gelatin with chilled boiled water and leave for 10-15 minutes to swell.
  3. While the gelatin is infusing, prepare the apple filling. Peel and seed the apple, cut into small cubes, and place in a saucepan. Add 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of water, cover the saucepan with a lid, and simmer the apple slices over low heat for 2-3 minutes. The apple pieces should be soft but retain their shape. To check the readiness – pierce a piece of apple with a fork.

  4. Divide the apple slices into portions. I use silicone muffin cups.
  5. In a separate container, combine kefir, icing sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix everything well. Taste the mixture and add more caster sugar if necessary. Subject to the proportions indicated in the recipe, the jelly will turn out to be moderately sweet.
  6. Melt the gelatin in a water bath or microwave at minimum power in pulses for a few seconds.
  7. Constantly stirring the kefir mixture, pour in the melted gelatin in a thin stream. Mix everything thoroughly and make sure the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  8. Pour the kefir mixture with gelatin into prepared portion forms. Place the dessert in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to cool and freeze completely.
  9. Chop the nuts finely. Remove the chilled kefir jelly from the molds and place it on a plate. Garnish each serving of jelly with chopped nuts, sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon and serve.

Bon Appetit!
