Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and do not grate too finely on a medium-fine grater. Put the potato mixture on a sieve, catch the liquid and let it stand a little. Then carefully pour off the water. Add the potato flour that has settled down to the mass again. Peel the onions and grate them too. Give to the crowd. Finely dice the bacon. Mix together the grated potatoes and onions, bacon and eggs. Season well with salt and pepper. Generously pour oil into a CAST-IRON saucepan and rub it on the sides as well. Pour in the potato mixture, spread some oil on top again. Bake at 220 ° C for about 2-3 hours. After an hour, remove the lid and let it brown. The kettle cake is ready when a thick dark brown crust has formed on top. Better to leave it in the oven a little longer.
