- Peel and chop the turnip, potatoes and carrots and cook in unsalted water until soft.
- Pour off the water and puree everything.
- Add the lard and stir in and season to taste with salt, pepper and a little grated nutmeg.
- It is also possible to replace the lard with butter.
- Norwegian dishes such as pinnekjøtt (cured lamb rib, family rib or tynnribbe (pork roast from the rib) go well with this.
- But otherwise it goes well with all lamb, turkey and pork dishes.
